Feb 22: Time for a blizzard party? 🥶
Check your Uber Eats accounts! A new 50% off (up to $15) promo on $20 pickup orders just quietly landed (along with a bit of confusion).
If you manage to snag this, it’s a genuinely good deal, especially if it lets you dodge those pesky delivery fees. However, whoever wrote the fine print for this one might have copy-pasted a little too fast.
The Fine Print Contradictions
Although the top bulleted area is factually correct, if you look closely at the details, the app gives you two entirely different sets of rules for the exact same promo:
- Pickup vs. Delivery: The bulleted list explicitly says “Pickup orders only.” But read the paragraph right underneath, and it claims it’s “for delivery only.”
- One Order vs. Two: The top section says it’s good “For 2 orders.” The bottom paragraph insists it’s valid for “your next 1 order.”
- The Minimum Spend: Is it a $20 minimum (as per the bullets) or a $25 minimum (as per the paragraph)?
What’s the Deal?
The “Pickup only” rule is the actual intended promotion, and it’s definitely an unusual move. It’s highly possible Uber Eats is anticipating a driver shortage this weekend and is trying to incentivize users to go grab their own food to ease the burden on the system.
The expiration date is coming up quickly, February 23, 2026, at 3:00 AM EST, so you have to test it out fast.
The Verdict: 50% off (up to $15) on 2 pickup orders is a steal. You skip the delivery fee, avoid the driver tip, and still get a heavy discount on the food itself. Just make sure your cart hits at least $20!
