Amazon Is Actually Doing a Giveaway… and Yup, It’s for Gift Cards

Amazon is making a giveaway, that’s a first – and of course it’s for Amazon gift cards. Seems like they’re trying to hype up Black Friday shopping in the most Amazon way possible: by handing out thousands of $50 Amazon gift cards.
Honestly, it doesn’t hurt to join. Worst case, you just get a few extra notifications. Best case, you get lucky and Amazon throws fifty bucks your way. Kinda nice to finally see them giving out some prizes.
What They’re Giving Away
They’re doing 3 separate sweepstakes, and each one has 1,300 winners.
That’s 3,900 total $50 Amazon gift card winners.
Not bad.
Who Can Enter (Important!)
This part matters:
- Only U.S. residents
- Must be 18+
- Florida and New York are excluded (don’t ask me why, I didn’t make the rules)
- You need an Amazon account with a valid email
How to Enter
Super simple – no purchase needed.
You get up to 2 entries per sweepstakes just by doing these:
- Opt in to Amazon marketing emails
- Turn on Amazon app push notifications
(If you don’t have the app, you can download it for free.)
As long as you’re opted in the day before each sweepstakes, Amazon automatically gives your account an entry for each method you turned on. No forms, no codes – just notifications.
When the Drawings Happen
There are three drawing dates:
- November 20, 2025
- November 26, 2025
- December 1, 2025
Winners get notified by email, so keep an eye out.
If you win once, you’re done – they only let each person win one $50 card overall.
My Take
At the end of the day, it’s Amazon. They’re using this to promote Black Friday and get more people on their marketing lists. But hey, if they want to hand out thousands of $50 gift cards, I’m not complaining.
Takes two seconds to opt in, and maybe you get lucky. Kind of fun to see Amazon actually do a giveaway for once.
