There are several variations of the Alaska Airlines (now Atmos Rewards) card offers available. Here is the current snapshot.

The Baseline (Included on All Offers):

• $99 Companion Fare: Valid on Alaska (AS) and Hawaiian (HA) flights within North America.

The “Global” Add-Ons (Summit & Ascent Only):

• Global Companion Award (25k): A 25,000-point discount on an award flight for a companion (works on partners).
• Global Flight Discount (30% or 50%): A percentage discount on a cash ticket (AS/HA only).

Summit Card (Premium Personal)

• New: 100k Points + 25k Global Award + 50% Global Flight Discount: $6.5k spend / 90 days. (Active)
• 100/105k Points + 25k Global Award: $6k spend / 90 days.
• 80k Points + 25k Global Award: $4k spend / 90 days.

Ascent Card (Personal)

• 85k Points: $4k spend / 120 days.
• New: 85k Points: $4.5k spend / 120 days. (Active)
• New: 80k Points + 50% Global Flight Discount: $4k spend / 120 days. (Active)
• 80k Points: $4k spend / 120 days.
• 60k Points + 50% Global Flight Discount: $3.5k spend / 90 days.

Interesting to note: Alaska considers 60k + 50% GFD better than 70k, and, on the flip side, 85k better than 85k + 50% GFD. (based on the required spend).

Value Check

Be realistic about the add-ons. If you don’t often fly cash fares on Alaska or Hawaiian, or can’t travel between the required dates, the 50% discount is worth less than the raw points. If you can, it can be worth alot more than the few extra points. The Global Companion Award is generally the most flexible since it works with partners.
